About:

This printable grammar worksheet asks students in grades 6–8 to write an 8–12 sentence short story using past simple and past continuous tenses. Five story topics are offered, including "The Day Everything Went Wrong at the Mall" and "The Most Embarrassing Moment Ever." Students must use past continuous (was/were + -ing) for actions in progress and past simple for finished actions.
