About:
These Earth Day bingo cards contain 25 outdoor tasks for Grades 3–4 to complete during springtime. Students explore nature by finding different leaves and bird species, collecting litter, and observing trees and plants. Use these during Earth Day lessons, spring outdoor learning activities, or as a framework for similar nature-focused movement games.
Word List
- Find something rough, something smooth, and something soft
- Spot 2 different birds or insects
- Find 3 different types of leaves
- Look up, what do you see in the sky? Describe it to a classmate.
- Sit quietly for 2 minutes and listen—what do you hear? Tell a classmate.
- Do 50 jumping jacks
- Walk like an animal (bear, bird, rabbit)
- Run from the playground to the top of the hill and back
- Balance on one foot for 30 seconds
- Create a game using things you find in nature
- Pick up 3 pieces of garbage and place them in the garbage by the playground
- Find a plant and see if it looks healthy
- Gently touch a tree and say thank you
- Find something living and something non-living
- Look for signs of spring, what do you see? Tell a friend
- Make a small nature art piece on the ground. Show a friend!
- Draw an earth related word in the sand
- Make up a name for a plant you find outside. Write it down.
- Pretend you are a bee looking for a flower. Can you find any?
- Tell your friend one way you can help the earth
- Give someone a high five for helping the earth
- Play x’s and o’s in the sand with a classmate.
- Teach a friend something you know about nature.
- Share your favorite outdoor activities with a friend.
- Say one nice thing about nature out loud!
